Following a request from Confitarma (the association of Italian ship-owners), the Italian Ministry of Infrastructures and Transport has drafted a decree which will require ships intending to carry out cabotage traffic in Italy to submit a declaration certifying, inter alia, the identity of the master, of the registered owner, of the entity in charge of compliance with ISM, of the technical and commercial managers of the ship.
